She waits as temperatures rise and humidity builds bringing the summer monsoon rains. Then for just a few glorious nights, she blooms magnificently. Moths find the huge, milky flowers irresistible. 

In Native American Traditions, moths symbolize transformation and rebirth. My fantasy Queen of the Night attracts imagined moths as the Summer rains plump and green the shriveled desert seemingly overnight. The transformation is astounding. We wait for it and celebrate it.
